A fourplex (AKA, quadraplex or 4-plex) property is a multi-family home consisting of four separate living units built as a single dwelling or as separate units on the same lot. One of the advantages to purchasing a 4-unit property is the ability to still use residential financing. In many cases a buyer can purchase a fourplex with very little or no down payment through an FHA or VA loan, as long as they intend to occupy one of the units. This is a great way to build wealth!
