People are moving into the Puget Sound region from all over the world. In total, 10,700 people moved here last month. That's up a little from January of last year when 10,100 people moved here. What we're counting are the number of peope who turned in out-of-state driver licenses for a Washington license. so it's not net migration because, hard as it is to believe, some people do move out of our region. Even so, it is a good indicator of housing demand trends and it is updated monthly so it is current. Let's take a closer look.
